HS 2.0 (BETA)
My new website is finally live, in its early beta form.
Can’t wait to share with you the final version, hopefully very soon!
What initially began as a simple update turned into a complete rethink of my online presence. This change represents a strategic shift, aiming to create a scalable platform where I can share projects, products, insights, and much more.
Key Objectives:
- Create a scalable and easily maintainable platform that allows for easy and regular updates with projects, products, posts, and more.
- Clearly convey what I do, and how I can help, as the old site failed to convey that.
Known Issues:
- While the site performs well in terms of performance and best practices, there are still areas for improvement in order to achieve the highest score for SEO and accessibility.
- There is some visual inconsistencies across the pages which I'm trying to fix by leveraging Webflow's new variables function and by being more efficient with the way I code things.
- The navbar occasionally experiences glitches due to numerous page-specific features, some of which may not function as intended. I'm actively addressing this by reconsidering the approach I've taken in building these features.
Backlog:
- Develop the tablet and mobile versions, as the site is currently only available on desktop.
- Improve the art direction, whilst I’m happy with how the site starting to look, I still believe there are improvements that are yet to be done.
- Add a table of content to the note-posts, to make it easier for the visitor to scan the content of the post and make it easier to find what they might be looking for.
With that being said, I value your input, so please feel free to share your thoughts on the new site. If you come across any issues or peculiarities, kindly bring them to my attention, and I'll ensure they are added to my ongoing list of improvements. As for the decision to launch a site that's still a work in progress, it's because I believe the new site reflects my identity as a designer and showcases my experience in a way the previous site couldn't.
Thank you for your support during this transitional time; this is only the beginning!
